For the walls: Weaves

Weave

1. East Parlor

My favorite, mostly because East Parlor’s weaves fit my budget (though I have a job, my budget remains at the college level, read: Top Ramen dinners)

East Parlor, particularly this piece, works well with white space, which would play nicely off colored or dark walls.

2. Mimijung

For the more modern maven, this tapestry works well with a light colored wall to give contrast to the lower half of the artwork. Placed opposite, this dark weave can offset other dark/heavy objects in the room like a large television.

3. All Roads Design

All Roads Design offers weaving workshops for those who want to DIY but don’t know where to start. Her work is amazing so if you’re dedicated to the craft, go for it!

4. A Beautiful Mess

A great blog post about how these DIY-ers made their own woven hanging! Step-by-step, with pictures for the visual learners. An inexpensive way of achieving the woven tapestry look.

5. All Roads Design

Another All Roads design, sold at Onekingslane. I just love the varying textures that are incorporated in these pieces to give a flat wall some depth.
